About Me
My name is Jordan Noret and I am currently a graduate student at Southern Methodist University studying paleobotany and stable isotope geochemistry under the advisement of Dr. Bonnie Jacobs. In December, 2008, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a double-major Bachelor of Science in Geology and Environmental Geoscience. As you might guess, I really like rocks. I am most interested in the relationships between people, plants and animals, and climate. Specifically, I am most interested in the historical accounts of these relationships as they may be found in the fossil/archeological record. I am currently in the process of formulating a research question for my Master's thesis which will likely involve the use of stable carbon isotopes of fossil plants.
